There’s often a feeling of deflation after the highs of Christmas and New Year’s Eve are over. There’s not a great deal to look forward to in January and February after all, and it’s often the time for the worst of the winter weather. But fear not, there’s a way to take the edge off any New Year blues.
All you need to do is tune into the latest series of the Fast Show. If you were a fan of the original series that ran from the mid-1990s, you’ll love the return of all your favourite characters on the Fast Show 2011, which is available on the fosters.co.uk site.
And the great thing about it being online is that you can just take a few minutes out of your day to have a laugh at the antics of Ted and Ralph, Our Janine, Ron Manager, Swiss Toni and many more.
Show creators Charlie Higson and Paul Whitehouse were only persuaded that people wanted more of the Fast Show when they found out how many people were searching for funny videos of the original episodes on You Tube. So, they’ve written brand new sketches and brought their characters bang up to date with developments like seeing them deal with smart phones and social networking.
The ten part series started in November and will run through the early part of 2012. Every new episode is released on a Thursday and though there’s been a bit of a hiatus over Christmas, episode 7 will be online on 26 January. In the meantime, however, you can watch any of the earlier episodes as they’re all available to view at any time on the Fosters’ UK website.
